About this Website
Culture Shelf is an online indie literary publication focused on supporting independent and emerging writers. We publish short fiction, poetry, personal essays, criticism, and/or cultural commentary. The magazine and its writing represents an effort towards elevating art and the creative depths of the human mind in order to promote collective criticism and artistry in a world where these values are undervalued and under-appreciated.
The site was originally created as a passion project encompassing music, film, literature, and multimedia reviews, but now includes various other thoughts, projects, and written pieces from multiple authors. Older content including multimedia review projects can be found in our Archive.
